MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls is a 4v4 tag-team fighting game developed by ARC SYSTEM WORKS (Guilty Gear, Dragon Ball FighterZ) in collaboration with PlayStation Studios and Marvel Games. Players assemble a team of four iconic Marvel heroes or villains and rotate, assist, and combo between them mid-fight.
Every character is rendered in a bold anime-inspired art style unique to this Marvel universe and is part of a preset story team — from the Fighting Avengers to the Knights of Doom — that players can break apart and rebuild in the Versus modes.
4v4 Tag Combat

Yes — the Open Beta runs 24–26 July 2026 across PS5 and PC (Steam, Epic). It is free, requires no PS Plus, supports cross-play and lets you try 15 of the 20 launch fighters including Blade's first playable appearance.

Standard is the base game. Digital Deluxe adds the Year 1 Pass plus Howard the Duck and Cosmo cosmetics. Ultimate adds Deluxe plus 5 themed costumes and full Animated Chromatic unlocks for all 20 fighters.

Pre-orders before 5 August 2027 receive the Infinity Gauntlet lobby equipment, Baby Groot pet and Cosmic Surfboard lobby ride. Pre-orders also grant a 72-hour early-access window in select regions.
Does Tōkon support cross-play and rollback netcode?+
Yes — PS5 and PC players can queue together in the 64-player Online Lobby and ranked Versus. Online matches use rollback netcode, while the 64-player Lobby uses delay-based netcode optimised for the browser-style format.
